Documents you need to play "War of the Dark God"
You need to download (and read) the following documents:
- Getting into COSMOS Fantasy games
A beginner's guide on how to play COSMOS Fantasy games.
Look at this first to see if COSMOS Fantasy play by email games are your cup of
tea. If you use this guide you should not need to read the rulebook before
playing your first few turns, but if you have never played before you should
consider playing Throne of Cofain rather
than War of the Dark God.
- The "COSMOS Fantasy rules"
Either the basic game version for
a basic game or the advanced game version for an advanced game (currently
you can only play the basic game).
Get it for reference even if you are using the guide mentioned above.
- The "War of the Dark God scenario description"
A description of the scenario including positions to choose from and
special rules in addition to those in the rule book.
- The "Unit type tables"
Lists all the characteristics of (most of) the units in the game.
You need this to see the specifics of the units available to you (and
to the other players). Get this when you get your game set-up; you will
need it for reference throughout the game.

Quick guide to file formats

Best all-round format. View and print from a
PDF viewer or browser plugin.
Versions with hypertext references use coloured
text to mark links while versions for printing have all black text.

For printing on a PostScript printer or viewing and printing from a
PostScript previewer.
Get PDF unless you have a PostScript printer.

For viewing in a web browser without a PDF plugin.
Not intended for printing!
